Statement of Faith
- We believe that all scripture (King James Bible 1611) is given by inspiration of God, & is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. II Tim. 3:16, II Pet. 1:21
- We believe in one God, who exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, & God the Holy Spirit. I John5:7, John 1:1-3 & 14
- We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten in the flesh by the Holy Spirit, was born of the Virgin Mary that he is eternal, he is God, and he has no beginning & no end, and was true God & true man. Matt. 1:18-25, John 1:1-3 & 14
- We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned & thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God in eternal punishment in the lake of fire, & that all humans are born with a sinful nature, thereby requiring a “new birth” salvation experience in order to escape eternal damnation & enter into Heaven. We in no wise believe that infants or young children who have not come to the knowledge of good & evil will suffer damnation (eternal judgment in the lake of fire/ Hell). Gen. 2:17, Rom. 3:21-28, John 3:3-7, Matt. 18:1-10
- We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, as a substitutionary sacrifice, & that all that repent & believe in him are justified by his shed blood. II Cor. 5:21, I Pet. 1:18-19, John 3:16
- We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried, was resurrected from the dead, ascended into heaven, & is our intercessor. John 19:30-33, I Cor. 15:4, Matt. 28:1-7, Acts 1:9-11
- We believe the personal, pre-tribulation, pre-millennial, bodily return of our lord and savior Jesus Christ is imminent. I Thess. 4:13-18, 5:1, 2 , & 9, Rev. 19:11-21, & 20:4-6
- We believe all who repent of their sin & receive by faith the lord Jesus Christ are born again by the word of God & of the Holy Spirit, & become the children of God. John 3:3, 5, &6, John 1:12, Acts 20:21, Rom. 10:8-17, I Peter 1:23
- We believe that salvation is by grace through faith & that it is a gift from God. It is not obtainable by works. Eph. 2:8&9, Isaiah 64:6, Rom 3:21-28
- We believe that all believers are baptized @ salvation by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ & are set apart to service & a holy walk. I Cor. 12:1-27, Tit. 2:11-15, Eph. 2:10
- We believe all true believers, having been born again into the family of God, are possessors of everlasting life, sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption, shall never perish, & are eternally secure in him. John 10:27-30, 5:24, 6:37, Eph. 1:13-14, 4:30, I Peter 1:23
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just & the unjust; that both will be judged; the saved @ the Judgment Seat of Christ & the wicked @ the Great White Throne Judgment. The saved shall inherit eternal life & the lost eternal death. I Thess. 4:13-18, Rev. 20:11-15, John 5:28 & 29, Dan. 12:2
- We believe immersion is the only scriptural mode of baptism; it is for believers only & it alone cannot save. Acts 2:38, Rom. 6:3-5, Acts 8:36-38, Matt. 28:19
- We believe that The Lords Supper (Communion) is a commemoration of the death of Christ & that only those who have been saved and are walking in obedient fellowship with him ought to partake of it. I Cor. 11:23-32, Matt. 26:26-28
